As part of the celebrations to mark its 125th anniversary this year, St Julian’s parish is organising a Holy Week concert entitled The Passion of Christ in Words and Music by the Amadeus Chamber Choir, under the direction of Mro Brian Cefai in collaboration with the Tarxien Pageant Group, who will also be offering scenes from the Lord’s Passion throughout the concert.

The pageant group is renowned for its excellent productions depicting Holy Week events. This year it will be stepping outside its usual venue and presenting scenes from Christ’s Passion with a cast of over 45 people in costume. The scenes will be accompanied by the chorus of the choir and a 10-piece orchestra.

The event will be held on March 22 at 7.30pm at St Julian’s parish church. Entrance is free. A donation in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be collected at the end of the concert.
