A Qormi pharmacy was the target of a hold-up yesterday afternoon but the would-be robbers left empty handed after the owners refused to give in to their demands for money.

The incident took place as Drug Shop Dispensary in De La Cruz Street was being closed for the day on Thursday and two hooded men walked in.

There were three people inside at the time. No one was injured but they left shaken and upset after the incident.

The pharmacy has been targeted by robbers before.
