An armed robber made off with a sum of money in a raid on Maypole foodstore in Attard yesterday at about 7pm.

The police said the lone man grabbed money from a cashier and from a client.

Sources said the man, who was wearing a carnival mask, ran away and could not be found by the police who searched the area.
