We’d like to say a very big thank you to the two unknown guys for the help they gave our daughter when she was injured after being hit by a car that failed to stop.

This happened while she was out walking in Madelina on May 24 at about 7pm. She was left lying by the side of the road for hours before she was kindly helped by these two good Samaritans. She was unconscious until she came round and found herself alone unable to move and it was then dark.

She had tried to flag down three cars but they did not stop. It was not until these two guys stopped in their car and called an ambulance that she was actually taken to hospital with a severely broken ankle and leg as well as suspected head injuries.

May we say to the persons or person that carried out this hit and run: we hope they can live with their conscience, for such a callous act. This may also apply to those drivers who did not stop to help.

The police are not able to take action as our daughter did not get the car number, but only remembers it as a white car. There were, as far as we know, no witnesses and no video surveillance.

We are so grateful to the two guys who helped her that night. Also to all the medical and nursing staff at the Accident and Emergency Department and Orthopaedic Ward 1 at hospital for the care she was given.
