Hibernian will have a chance to make some amends for last season’s Scottish Cup final defeat by Hearts after being drawn at home to their Edinburgh rivals in a derby fourth round tie yesterday.

Hibs’ previous Scottish Cup tie was the 5-1 thrashing they endured against Hearts in last season’s final at Hampden Park,

But their form has been much improved this season and they are currently level on points with Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic, seven places above the Jambos.

The draw also led to a Highland derby, with Ross County at home to SPL side Inverness.

Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers were both handed home draws.

Celtic face the winners of the third-round replay between Inverurie Locos and Arbroath following a 3-3 draw last weekend.

Meanwhile, Rangers were drawn at home to fellow Third Division rivals Elgin.

Ties to be played on the weekend of December 1-2.
