Fourteen schools have been awarded funding to develop programmes to help their students adopt new behaviour patterns related to food.
The funding forms part of the EU project We Eat Responsibly, involving partners from nine EU countries, including Malta. It is being implemented locally by Nature Trust Malta through the respective eco-schools.
The schools are St Benedict College’s Birżebbuġa, Mqabba and Żurrieq primaries and Kirkop secondary, St Nicholas College’s Dingli primary, San Ġorġ Preca College’s Valletta primary, St Theresa College’s Birkirkara secondary, Gozo College’s Victoria primary, St Michael School, Santa Venera, St Monica School, Gżira, St Joseph School, senior section, Blata l-Bajda, St Francis Secondary School, Sliema, Dun Manwel Attard Young Adult Education Resource Centre, Wardija, and Helen Keller Resource Centre, Qrendi.
Another call for schools to get involved in the project will be issued by March 2016.
