The World Health Organisation is to help Malta in the completion of its National Food Consumption Survey, which will be used to address the large prevalence of obesity among Maltese nationals.

The help, both technical and financial, will come about as a result of a health sector agreement signed between Malta and the World Health Organisation in Copenhagen.

The agreement was signed by Health Parliamentary Secretary Chris Fearne and WHO Regional Director for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab.
