Maria Regina College middle school, Naxxar, held a week of activities to raise the awareness of students, parents, teachers and staff on various health issues to enable them to make choices that lead to healthier lifestyles.

Professionals were invited to the school to conduct sessions and demonstrations on healthy cooking, fitness, gymnastics and give talks on internet safety and cyber bullying.

All the students spent a day at Selmun family park to take part in teambuilding exercises, traditional games, athletics, tournaments, trekking and other physical activities.

Throughout the week the students were also offered healthy breakfasts and lunch packs and fresh smoothies.

The event was held in collaboration with Naxxar and Mellieħa local councils.
