A 51-year-old man was critically injured early yesterday morning in a head-on crash between two vehicles in High Street, St Julian’s.

The man was a passenger in a Peugeot along with two women, aged 44 and 30, who were also hospitalised. All three are Tarxien residents.

Two foreigners - aged 46 and 25 - were driving the Land Rover. Police are investigating.

Meanwhile, the police said the 52-year-old man who was grievously injured in a traffic accident in Triq il-Mistra, limits of Mellieha, on Friday, is now in a stable condition.
