David Haye’s trainer insisted yesterday his fighter was not interested in a bout against Dereck Chisora depite the two British heavyweights’ brawl in Germany last weekend.

Both Haye and Chisora face an uncertain future with British boxing authorities mulling disciplinary action following their violent confrontation in the aftermath of Chisora’s bout with Vitali Klitschko on Saturday.

The brawl has triggered speculation about a possible grudge match between the two British fighters but Haye’s trainer Adam Booth said his fighter was not planning to come out of retirement.

“David is still retired, he has no plans to fight again,” Booth said.

“He’s always said the only people he would come out (of retirement) to fight is one of the Klitschko brothers and what happened on Saturday night doesn’t change that one bit.”

Police in Germany want to question Haye over his role in Saturday’s fracas, which left Booth nursing a nasty cut on his head while a furious Chisora accused Haye of striking him with a bottle.
