Relegated Hamilton signed off their disastrous Scottish Premier League season with a 2-1 defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle yesterday.

Aberdeen leapfrogged Hibernian into ninth place with an away 3-1 win over their Edinburgh opponents.

Chris Maguire scored two goals inside a minute late on to claim victory for Craig Brown’s side.

Elsewhere St Mirren and St Johnstone played out a goalless draw.
