Grant’s, Scotland’s oldest family-run blended whisky maker, received the highest acclaim at this year’s World Whiskies Awards by being named Best Scotch Blend for its Grant’s Family Reserve.
First held in 2007, the World Whiskies Awards are Whisky Magazine’s product awards, searching for the very best whiskies in the world. This year’s competition saw more than 300 whiskies put through their paces during three rounds of rigorous tastings to win the coveted titles of the “world’s best”.
Grant’s Family Reserve is enjoyed in over 180 countries. First created by William Grant in 1898, the blend is today, five generations later, entrusted to Grant’s master blender, Brian Kinsman.
Grant’s Family Reserve is made with around 25 of the finest single malt and grain Scotch whiskies. The basis for the blend is widely acclaimed Girvan grain whisky. Vacuum distilled at a lower temperature to make it a lighter and more delicate spirit, it is then aged in oak to give it a deeper, sweeter, soft fruit flavour, creating the perfect foundation.
Francis Busuttil and Sons Marketing Ltd are the importers and distributors of William Grant’s products in Malta.
