Around 100 students attended a talk at University entitled Careers in Science organised by the Science Students’ Society (S-Cubed). It was addressed by four science graduates – Michael Grech (BSc Chemistry with Materials), Eman Mifsud (BSc Chemistry and Biology), Anna Pulo (BSc Physics and Maths) and Andrea Fenech Adami (BSc Maths and Statistics) – who have started working or are carrying out postgraduate studies.

They talked about their different sectors, offered advice to students and spoke about current job opportunities in Malta and overseas. They emphasised that an active student life enhances time management and job skills and encouraged the students to participate in youth exchanges and Erasmus opportunities.

S-Cubed president Stephen Vella outlined the student organisation’s objectives and main events it carries out, including educational and social events such as Science in the City and the annual science seminar.

Prospective science students who would like information regarding courses offered by the Faculty of Science or help before or during the first weeks at University, may e-mail the society on info@scubed.org.mt.
