Can someone please help me out here? After the terrible incident at the Gozo court, I started reading all the comments of ministers, lawyers, politicians and even the justice department and here are some facts “according to them According to the Gozitan lawyers, (including a member of Parliament) they have been asking for a metal detector and additional security for years.

According to the justice department once an official request was made, a metal detector that was sitting in storage, collecting dust, was immediately made available and installed and security was beefed up.

So that leaves me with a number of questions: Who were the lawyers making their urgent requests to and why were these requests not forwarded to the justice department years ago? And of course the million dollar question: Who is responsible to make this request to the justice department and (since there is proof that “an official request” was finally made to the department) why did the authority in Gozo (who we still do not know) wait until someone almost got killed?
