With €659.59 million, Enemalta tops the list of corporations that are in debt.
Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said in Parliament that Enemalta was followed by the Malta Freeport Corporation with €216.19 million.
The total debt amounts to €1,168.84 million, of which €891,242,207 is long-term.
The debt position of other entities as at the end of last year was as follows: Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation – €10.14m; Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools – €50.43m; Malta Enterprise – €2.87m; Malta Government Investments Ltd – €6.04m; Malta Government Technology Investments Ltd – €6.64m; Malta Tourism Authority – €799,829; Foundation for Educational Services – €53,674; National Orchestra Ltd – €14,081; University of Malta – €3.43m, Water Services Corporation – €93.68m; Malta Industrial Parks – €76.38m; Transport Malta – €5.56m; Property Management Services – €7m; Air Malta – €27.06m; Gozo Channel – €638,678; Kordin Grain Terminal – €2,318 and Malta Air Traffic Services – €2.31m.
