While I fully agree with Melvin Richcourt (November 5) about the shameful state of Wesgħet Ġużi Tanti on the prominent St Julian’s seafront, I am still totally amazed as to how the authorities concerned had allowed such a picturesque area to become a rubbish dump (the area in question has been cleared since).

May I suggest that Heritage Malta consider erecting Ċensu Tabone’s monument at this very place, rather than at a drinkers’ area of a well-known bar in St Julian’s.

I am sure that Wesgħet Ġużi Tanti will once again be that beautiful little square, this time graced by the monument of the much loved Ċensu Tabone.
