After weeks of speculation, rumours, stolen photos and crazy concept videos, the new iPhone 4s has been released.
For those who were expecting a totally new iPhone 5, the 4s may be a bit of a letdown. Still, the new iPhone is an evolutionary step on the iPhone 4 and contains a set of mostly improved, but also new features – these include an improved antenna, Bluetooth 4.0 and a talk-time battery life of eight hours.
There is also an updated 8MP rear camera with improved sensitivity, five lens elements and a 33 per cent faster capture – this makes it faster than the HTC Sensation and Galaxy S.
What steals the show is the Siri voice control. This feature, which supports English, French and German, allows you to actually speak to your phone, ask questions, read and write messages and set reminders. It’s an interesting feature that a lot of users are looking forward to use.
However, Siri still needs to go through real-life testing until we get actual results on its performance.
