The Goldberg Trio will perform a concert tailored for the festive season tomorrow at the Cathedral Museum, Mdina.

The trio is made up of Michael Laus, resident conductor and pianist of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, orchestral leader Marcelline Agius and principal violist Nadia Debono. They will perform works by Johann Strauss Jr, Arthus Sullivan and Enrique Granados and a Christmas carol medley specially arranged by Laus for the audience to sing along to. The trio will be joined by Stephen Zammit, also from the MPO, for an amusing performance of Leroy Anderson’s The Typewriter.

The concert is suitable to audiences of all ages.

Following the concert, patrons will be treated with mulled wine and homemade mince pies.

The concert, organised by Historic Piano Concerts, will be held tomorrow at 7.30pm at the Cathedral Museum, Mdina. Patrons will be free to visit the museum’s main halls throughout the even­ing.
