Like Mary Josephine Zammit (October 15), I too feel frustrated each time Rai Uno or Due transfer a programme, while it is still running, to Rai Sports channels I or II, which are not provided by Go.

This feeling is compounded on the morrow when I venture to ask work colleagues, who are Melita Cable subscribers, how a particular incident showed up in slow motion or how an interview proceeded. My colleagues, while providing the answers, tell me to join them.

To my mind, if Go’s excuse is of a financial nature, this is understandable, but then they should come clean and say so.

If, on the other hand, there are technical difficulties involved, Go would do well to remove a couple of mediocre (for want of a better word) channels and substitute them with Rai Sports channels.

I am not alone in saying this but am voicing the opinion of many workmates and friends.

How much more beneficial to our youth would similar channels be.

I recall that in the 1960s, Rediffusion used to relay a programme called People want to know. In this day and age, this certainly has become “people have a right to know”. Is Go denying this right to its subscribers?

Don’t they deserve to know why Rai Sports channels I and II are still not part of Go’s line-up, even though Melita Cable provides one of them in their basic package?
