Telecoms group Go has added TLC, the international TV entertainment channel for women, to its programming line-up.

TLC is the flagship women- targeted channel broadcast by Discovery Networks and airs on Go’s Electronic Programme Guide Channel 503 (digital TV) and Channel 303 (interactive TV).

TLC replaces Discovery Travel and Living and will launch with a pan-European feed.

Programming has been tailored for the local market and includes brand new hit shows.

The channel will still air many of T and L’s most popular shows including Cake Boss, Kate Plus 8, Say Yes to the Dress, What Not To Wear, Toddlers and Tiaras, but will also add a vibrant mix of new content that has proved popular in the US and internationally.

Go will be the first operator in Malta to launch TLC, aimed at a female viewership aged 25 to 49. It broadcasts premium lifestyle, reality and inspirational entertainment programmes from around the world.

Key programme genres include weddings, fashion, food, parenting, travel and lifestyle.

New series on the channel at launch include Sister Wives, which documents the life of a polygamist family living in Utah, with patriarch Kody Brown, his four wives and their 16 children.

Another new series is Hoarding: Buried Alive, a programme which goes inside the homes of extreme hoarders to explore the psychology behind their compulsion.
