Online portal di-ve.com has been taken over by Digital Interactive, a company made up of security company Alberta and a former business editor.

There would be a complete overhaul process for di-ve.com

The company bought the online news portal from Go, managing director Christopher Sultana said.

A former editor of The Malta Business Weekly, Mr Sultana said the sale was “a significant start for Digital Interactive”, which was purposely set up to enter the digital arena.

The company would now focus on managing the website while implementing an expansion strategy, he said.

Over the coming weeks, there would be a complete overhaul process for di-ve.com to improve its online presence, customer experience and interactivity.

The focus would be on improving the functionality of di-ve.com to provide visitors with the latest factual news and information.

“The aim is to bring our visitors the latest updates, developments and much more information without any political connotation or bias,” Mr Sultana said.

A spokesman for Go said the company was very proud of the role that di-ve.com played as a leading news and lifestyle portal over the past decade.

Go, however, believed its future investment should be focused on its quad-play services and so decided to sell dive.com to Digital Interactive “that would be able to exploit the exciting world of online journalism”.
