Go customers who missed the beginning of their favourite programme or need to catch up on a few episodes of a sitcom will soon have their problems solved through the company’s latest offer – interactive television.

Go interactive TV will be brought through ADSL using fibre technologies and offers such features as Restart, which goes back to the beginning of a live programme, Catch Up, an on-demand archive - pause and rewind, recording and games and widgets.

“IPTV is clearly an exciting development. In fact, it will change the way in which customers watch television, giving them the control they deserve to watch what they want, when they want to,” company spokesman Vanessa Macdonald said.

Last year, the company announced a €100 million investment programme over six years. A total of €16 million were spent last year and Go intends to have spent another €20 million by the end of this year.

Go will be announcing details of its IPTV package in the near future and will soon also unveil a microsite where customers will be guided through its innovative features and register their interest in this new product. Customers can visit the company’s outlets for IPTV demonstrations.
