Malta’s singing doctor Gianluca Bezzina will be leading a fundraising event tomorrow organised by the Calamatta Cuschieri Cancer Foundation.

With the support of the Health Department, the foundation is working to collect funds towards the provision of the most advanced cancer treatment and facilities. It also aims to promote healthy living through activities that bring people together.

Get Walking for Cancer will be held at 10am tomorrow. It leaves from near the chalet, Sliema, towards the Love monument in St Julian’s and back to the chalet. Gianluca Bezzina and his band will close off the walk with a performance.

“Malta is still mourning the loss of Nirvana Azzopardi, Helen Muscat and many other people who have been lost to this disease over the years,” Alan Cuschieri, a director at Calamatta Cuschieri, said.

Participants contributing €10 to the foundation will get a free T-shirt which can be picked up before the event from Calamatta Cuschieri’s offices in Valletta and Qormi, the Health Department in Sliema or Richard Geres in St Julian’s.
