Mdina attracts hundreds of visitors on a daily basis. However, not many people know that the so-called ‘Silent City’ has witnessed several dark events throughout the course of history. Having been an important hub for centuries, various interesting sites surround it too, many of which have been forgotten in the folds of time.
Today, a ghost tour will guide participants through the dark, winding streets of this ancient city to discover eerie tales of past inhabitants. The tour will then move out to the surrounding countryside towards important yet little known sites such as abandoned burial sites, mysterious archaeological features and scenes of terrifying hauntings.
The organisers advise that this is not a normal walking tour and therefore, footwear adequate for rough and uneven terrain is necessary. Candles will be provided, however, participants may also choose to bring along their own light source.
This tour is not suitable for expectant mothers, people with heart conditions or those having mobility issues.
Transport for the remote sites included in the tour is included in the €20 fee, with registration being mandatory. The tour starts at 8pm.
