Lukas Podolski has revealed that Germany national team coach Joachim Loew has given his seal of approval to the forward’s loan move to Inter.

The Arsenal forward has joined the Serie A side for the remainder of the 2014-15 season – and insists his international prospects will benefit as a result of the switch.

The 29-year-old told the Deutscher Fussball-Bund’s official website: “Playing here will see my situation with the Germany national team improve.

“I spoke about it with Joachim Loew ahead of the move and he thinks that it was a good decision for my career. In my opinion, Inter are one of the 10 biggest clubs in the world.

“The club’s successes were not that long ago and when you consider the legends that have played here... you know what kind of club you are playing for.”

Podolski, who came on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Juve on Tuesday, added: “I had three or four other offers but I had a good conversation with the manager (Roberto Mancini). He went to great lengths to get me here and made my decision very easy.”
