Germany will be using Malta as a humanitarian hub to ship €100,000 worth of food, water and medicine to Libya today.

All the provisions were bought from Malta and will be sent to Tripoli aboard the MV Al Entisar, a fishing vessel that was turned into an aid ferry during the conflict.

The ship is scheduled to leave at noon from Laboratory Wharf, according to the German Embassy, which is coordinating the relief operation with the support of the Civil Protection Department and the Office of the Prime Minister.
