We refer to Robert Hornyold-Strickland’s letter (The Sunday Times, October 21), where he commented on the writings of our father, George Sammut.
How Mr Hornyold Strickland is reading the second of two volumes of the work, when the manuscript consists of a large batch of loose type-written sheets, is curious. Is he perhaps reading the wrong manuscript?
Nonetheless, to state that our family had passed on a copy to Mabel Strickland is, to say the least, preposterous, after our father’s unceremonious dismissal from Allied Malta Newspapers after no less than 27 years of loyal and dedicated service.
