The decision to move ARMS to Gattard House, near Porte de Bombes, is a major disservice to Water Services Corporation/Enemalta clients. If I were one of the many who live in a world of conspiracy theories, I would be justified in concluding that the move was specifically calculated to ward off visitors. At Luqa Road, ARMS visitors could use the WSC car park and also the abundant parking space across the road in the industrial estate. Near Gattard House the existing parking facilities have been full to capacity for years. One (dangerous) crossing away is the park-and-ride facility, also full to capacity.

A few days ago I visited the Peugeot agency, next to Gattard House, to buy a spare part. The area was in total chaos, with double parking galore. This was the result of ARMS staff moving into Gattard House and displacing many drivers who usually park there. No clients were trying to park during the transfer period. Where do ARMS expect clients to park, the old St Luke’s Hospital’s multi-storey facility? I left in disgust, without the spare part I needed.
