Barnet maintained their winning run in the English League Two last weekend after pulling off a 1-0 victory away at Yeovil Town.

Malta winger Luke Gambin played 82 minutes as a goal by Alex Nicholls handed the Bees a third successive victory that keeps them on course to challenge for the play-offs.

Barnet are eighth on 30 points, level with Blackpool who currently occupy the final spot for the promotion deciders.

Sam Magri’s Dover Athletic were involved in the FA Trophy. They played Dartford away with the match ending one-all.

Wing-back Magri played the full match and distinguished himself with his fine set-piece deliveries. However, Dover were unable to clinch the win and now host Dartford in a replay tonight.

In the Portuguese top flight, Andrè Schembri’s Boavista suffered a third successive defeat as they went down 2-1 to Guimaraes at their Estadio do Bessa.

Schembri was again in the Boavista forward line as the home side found themselves behind after three minutes when David Texeira opened the scoring for Guimaraes.

Defender Philipe Sampaio soon pulled Boavista level but it was the visitors who grabbed the winner through Paulo Hurtado to leave Boavista hovering just above the relegation zone, two points clear of second-bottom Feirense.

In Lega Pro, defender Zach Muscat was an unused substitute as Arezzo were held to a goalless draw at home to Viterbese.

Arezzo played with 10 men for an hour following the dismissal of Davide Moscardelli.

The result left Arezzo in third place on 33 points, 13 adrift of leaders Alessandria.
