Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has told off coach Massimiliano Allegri after his team scored eight goals in their last two games.

Milan hit-back from 3-0 down to beat Lecce 4-3 at the weekend and then turned over Parma 4-1 on Wednesday.

Midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Antonio Nocerino both netted hat-tricks over the past week, but Galliani is far from happy.

“I rang (Allegri) this morning at 9 a.m. to remind him that the title is won by the team with the best defence not the best attack,” Galliani said at an event for the club’s sponsors yesterday.

“It’s all well and good scoring lots of goals but last year we won the league with the best defence.

“We have to concede less, against Lecce and Parma we let in four goals in four days.”

With 16 goals in their eight matches, Milan have the best attack in the league this season.
