Fixed and mobile telephone users on a contract can ask for an itemised bill free-of-charge from April, following a Malta Communications Authority decision.

Together with the standard bill, which such subscribers receive periodically, they can also ask to see an itemised bill to monitor and control usage.

Subscribers can choose between two types: a basic summary of the different types of calls and total costs incurred for each category, or a detailed bill with information on each transaction.

All mobile and fixed telephony contract subscribers can have free a basic bill in hard copy or electronic format, or a detailed bill in electronic format.Those over 65 can ask for a hard copy.
