Senior citizens will be helped to discover the potential benefits of commonly used internet tools, with an emphasis on social media, through a programme organised by the Malta Communications Authority and the government.

The objective is to encourage older people to integrate ICT into their lives. According to local studies, more than 67 per cent of those over 55 have never used the internet.

The sessions will be delivered in seven day centres across Malta and will be free of charge.
