Valletta International Baroque Festival activities will be free of charge on both Sundays in the event’s calendar.
“One of the ideas behind the festival was to promote the beauty of baroque music to more people,” said artistic director Kenneth Zammit Tabona.
“This is why we decided the two Sundays in the 16-day programme have been dedicated to free baroque events for all the family.”
The Toi Toi Baroque Bonanza will take place this Sunday on the Manoel Theatre’s main stage at 10.30am and 2pm.
This will include a workshop by Rosetta DeBattista with music provided by La Sainte Folie Fantatsique, a French ensemble.
On the same day, the Anon Ensemble, a group of musicians led by Michael Laus, will be performing two separate concerts inside the Oratory of St John’s Co-Cathedral, at 1.30pm and 4pm.
The programme will feature works by Arcangelo Corelli, Georg Philipp Telemann and George Frederick Handel, among others.
