A man who admitted seriously injuring another male and causing a fracas at a police station was placed on probation for two years.

Joseph Anthony Zerafa, 24, of Qawra, admitted to seriously injuring a man from St Paul’s Bay, and causing more than €1,100 worth of damage at the Birkirkara police station on Friday. He was also accused of slightly injuring another man, making threats and disturbing the peace.

The fight started at an entertainment establishment in Rabat and continued when 11 young men pursued each other in two vehicles until they arrived at the police station.

A brawl spread into the station, landing a 20-year-old man in hospital with serious injuries.
