• The Salesians of Don Bosco in Malta are organising the annual grand sale of fine Sicilian ceramics and cribs from Caltagirone, together with items of antique furniture. The sale will take place at St Patrick’s Salesian School, St John Bosco Street, Sliema, from Wednesday to next Sunday, every day between 10am and 7pm. Proceeds are in aid of the boys of St Patrick’s. Parking will be available in the school grounds.
• To celebrate the launch of MG Linea Sposa, a fashion show of exclusive bridal gowns and occasional wear will be held on Wednesday at the Excelsior Hotel, Floriana.
Presented by Carlo Borg Bonaci, the evening will host distinguished guests, including Kate Gonzi and Michelle Muscat.
Ticket donations will be in aid of Puttinu Cares and available at €10 per person from the Grand Hotel Excelsior on the night. Tickets may also be bought from the MG Linea Sposa showroom or reserved on the MG Linea Sposa Facebook page.
• A day-long adoration is being held at the Archbishop’s Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, on Thursday. The aim of the adoration is to pray for vocations to the priestly and religious life. Mass will be celebrated at 9.30am, followed by adoration during the rest of the day. At 6.30pm, the adoration will proceed with the participation of the seminarians. The celebration of the Mass at 7.15pm will conclude the day. Individuals and groups are welcome to attend.
• Fr Godwin Preca, SJ, will lead a weekend retreat as a preparation for Christmas during which participants will reflect and pray on the Mystery of the Incarnation. The retreat will be held at Manresa retreat house, Victoria, from Friday to next Sunday. To book, call 2155 6635.
• To celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception, the Youths Section of Our Lady of the Lily Musical Society of Mqabba, in collaboration with the club’s bartenders, is organising a gathering on Saturday at the new band club premises at Church Square from 8pm.

• Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar is organising a Maltese Christmas dinner, the sale of seasonal fare and candlelit carol singing by the Voca choir on December 12 at 7pm at St Mark’s church and in the cloister of the Augustinian priory, St Augustine Street, Rabat.
