MA in Baroque Studies

The Master of Arts in Baroque Studies, run by the University’s International Institute for Baroque Studies, takes a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of the baroque age, its heritage and its legacy. It assists students to deepen their knowledge on the political, military, religious, social, philosophical, scientific, literary, artistic, architectural and conservation aspects of the baroque.

BSc (Hons) Radiography

The BSc (Hons) Radiography is a four-year, full-time Bachelor’s degree course starting in October. It includes theoretical and clinical study-units in both medical ima­ging and radiotherapy. Students undertake a period of clinical experience in a Welsh hospital. The application deadline is noon on Friday.

M. Pharm in Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Department is offering an M.Pharm part-time evening course for pharmacy Master’s students wishing to further their studies.

Study-units are mostly based on online learning and may be completed over a period of three years.

MA in Literary Tradition and Popular Culture

The Faculty of Arts is offering an interdepartmental taught Master of Arts in Literary Tradition and Popular Culture, a full-time day programme which will run over three semesters, starting in October.

It will cover the following subjects: comparative literature, cultural theory, theory of literature, popular culture, Biblical literature, modernist literature, post-modernist literature, film and the literary canon, film and technology, the literature of the avant-garde, the aesthetics of decline, representations of the Mediterranean, the translation of canonical and popular texts and graphic novels.

The first two semesters will consist of a taught component comprising six units of 10 credits each. During the third semester, students will be required to write a dissertation under supervision. The programme will be taught in English and will also be offered on a part-time basis over six semesters.

The course is not restricted to graduates of language and literature but welcomes Honours graduates (second class or better) and ordinary degree holders (category II or better).
