■ The Junior Club within Our Lady of the Lily Band Club of Mqabba is holding its Christmas party for children of members and supporters on December 28 from 4.30pm at the club’s premises in Church Square, Mqabba.

The party will include food, drink, varied entertainment and other surprises, while beautiful gifts will be given to all children present. Tickets are obtainable by calling 7946 0156.

■ The mechanical crib at Jesus of Nazareth Institute in Zejtun will be open to the public once again this year from December 18 to January 4 from 9.30am to noon and from 4 to 7pm. Everybody is welcome. During this period, there will also be an open bazaar in the adjacent hall.

■ Our Lady of the Lily Band Club of Mqabba, in collaboration with the club’s bartenders, is organising a gathering on Christmas Eve at 8.30pm at the club’s premises at main Square. The event will include musical entertainment  in a most joyful Christmas atmosphere. Champaigne and appetizers will be provided. Everyone is invited to join. Entrance is free.
