Tottenham striker Harry Kane is “flattered” to be linked with Manchester United but insists he is happy at White Hart Lane.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a big-money summer switch to Old Trafford after scoring 31 goals in all competitions for Spurs last term.

With United said to be at the head of a list of suitors, Kane admitted he was aware of interest but is content to remain at Spurs.

“I’ve seen there’s interest but that’s all I know,” he said.

“It’s flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested but I’m happy at Spurs and I’m looking forward to the future.”

No Bartra move

FC Porto will not be pursuing the signing of Barcelona defender Marc Bartra during the summer transfer window.

Reports in Portugal claimed Porto were alongside Tottenham and Liverpool in the race to ac-quire the Spain international.

Bartra, 24, has two years left on his contract with Barca but is pondering a move away in search of more playing time. However, Porto will not be his destination.

“I don’t know Bartra but I’m sure if he is at Barca, he is a good player,” FC Porto president Pinto da Costa said.

“However, we are not interested in him.”

A youth product of Barcelona, Bartra made just 24 starts for the Catalan giants this season.

Arsenal confirm duo’s departures

Arsenal have confirmed the departures of winger Ryo Miyaichi to German club St Pauli and defender Semi Ajayi to Car-diff City.

Japan international Miyaichi joined the Gunners in January 2011 but made only a handful of first-team appearances, spending loan spells at Feyenoord, Bolton, Wigan and FC Twente.

Ajayi, meanwhile, signs for the Bluebirds following a loan at the end of last season, having moved to Arsenal from Charlton’s academy in 2013.

Arsenal are expected to offload more players this summer.

Weimann leaves Villa for Derby

Forward Andreas Weimann has joined former Aston Villa team-mate Darren Bent at Derby after agreeing a four-year deal with the Rams.

Weimann has joined Paul Clement’s ambitious side for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around £2.75 million.

The 23-year-old has spent his entire senior career at Villa, barring two loan spells at Watford in 2011, making 129 appearances and scoring 24 times.

The Austrian was a peripheral figure under Tim Sherwood last season and is now ready for a change of scene.

“I’m excited to be here and I’m looking forward to the new challenge,” he said.

Ghana midfielder Acquah joins Torino

Ghana international Afriyie Acquah has moved to Torino on a permanent transfer from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee, the Serie A club announced yesterday.

The 23-year-old midfielder, who played the last four months on loan at Sampdoria, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Maroons.

Hoffenheim signed Acquah in January 2013 from Palermo but the African player was months later sent out on a two-year loan deal to Parma, where he made a total of 41 appearances.

Acquah joined Samp on loan during the winter transfer window and made 10 starts to help the Genoa outfit finish seventh in Serie A this season.

Belgium could seek compensation

Belgium may seek compensation over the 4.5 million euros spent on their unsuccessful 2018 World Cup bid if FIFA’s decision to award the finals to Russia is found to be fraudulent.

“If fraud is proven it is obvious to me that we will seek compensation,” Belgian Football Federation chairman Francois de Keersmaecker said.

The country made a joint bid with the Netherlands that cost nine million euros.

The executive committee of FIFA chose Russia ahead of the Belgian-Dutch bid, a joint bid from Portugal and Spain, and one by England.

Liberia FA chiefBility for FIFA vote

Liberia football association chairman Musa Bility announced he would stand as a candidate to become the next president of FIFA following the resignation of Sepp Blatter.

The 48-year-old Bility is the second person to declare his candidacy after former Brazil international Zico.

“We all agree in the world that football is facing a difficult mo-ment and it is in difficult moments that great leaders emerge,” Bility told BBC Sport.

“Africa is the largest voting bloc in FIFA and we must take the lead to bring football together.”

Bility, who has led the Liberian FA since 2010, is not afraid to make a stand as in 2011 he broke ranks with the majority of his African colleagues by stating he would vote against Blatter.
