Robert Lewandowski says he will not let his performances drop for Borussia Dortmund before he joins Bayern Munich in June.

The Poland international, 25, signed a five-year deal with Bayern on Saturday and will join the Bavarians when his contract expires in summer.

Lewandowski said: “There are still some goals we want to achieve. I for one will give my all for Borussia Dortmund.

“I hope you will support me, even if some of you don’t agree with my decision.”

Lennon cautious

Neil Lennon remains reluctant to countenance an unbeaten Scottish Premiership season despite Celtic reaching the 20-game mark with a 4-0 of St Mirren in Paisley on Sunday.

After the game, Buddies boss Danny Lennon claimed a continuation of Celtic’s run was not “beyond them”.

However, the Celtic boss, whose side travelled to Turkey said: “There is a long, long way to go.

“We wanted to go into the break unbeaten and we got the goals and the three points. To go unbeaten the whole season is almost impossible, although we made big inroads into that.

“All I want to do is stay unbeaten as long as we can, that is the real carrot for the players.”

Poyet questions cup draw timing

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has questioned the decision to hold the draw for the FA Cup fourth round before several third-round ties have been completed.

The 46-year-old guided his side past League One Carlisle with a 3-1 victory at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon, but knew before half-time that the victors would face either Kidderminster or Peterborough in the next round.

Poyet said: “I don’t know if it’s a good idea. If you are 1-1 at half-time and you get Arsenal at home and you are Carlisle, what a second half they are going to give you... that’s for sure.”

Goalkeeper Speroni unsure on future

Julian Speroni is unsure what the future holds with his contract at Crystal Palace set to expire in the summer.

The Argentinian goalkeeper was in superb form on Saturday as the Eagles claimed a 2-0 FA Cup third-round triumph at West Brom.

Speroni duly claimed his 93rd clean sheet since joining the south London club in 2004 – a 10-year anniversary he will celebrate in summer. But that is also when his current deal expires and the 34-year-old insists there has not yet been any talks on fresh terms.

“No, we haven’t spoken as of yet so I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said.

“I love this club. I’ve been here 10 years now. But in football you never know.”

Diego not ruling out Wolfsburg exit

Diego has vowed to see out his contract with Wolfsburg although he is less clear about his future beyond then.

The Brazilian midfielder is open to negotiate a new deal with the Bundesliga club having returned from his short winter holiday “extremely motivated”, but he has not ruled out leaving in the summer either, when he is set to become a free agent.

“The clubs who want me now will still want me in the summer,” he said, before confirming his intention to see out the final six months of his current deal.

“One thing’s for sure at the moment – I’m staying at least until the end of the season.”

My players don’t dive says Mourinho

Jose Mourinho is adamant Chelsea players do not dive despite Ramires becoming the second Blues player in succes-sive games to be shown a yellow card for simulation.

On Sunday, Chelsea claimed a 2-0 FA Cup win at Derby with goals from John Obi Mikel and Oscar sandwiching a booking for Ramires.

Mourinho refused to con-demn Ramires, who fol-lowed Oscar into being booked for diving.

He said: “I maintain (there are no divers at Chelsea)... isolated episodes, perhaps.

“In other clubs there are really divers and they are not booked. Players are doing that every weekend.

“Sit in front of the television and you will find them.”

No Tan influence in logo colour change

Malaysian club Kedah have denied that their controversial logo change from green and yellow to red came as a caveat to a two million ringgit ($608,600) investment by Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan.

The logo switch is similar to what Malaysian businessman Tan employed at Cardiff, who now play in red despite protests by supporters of the Welsh side known as the Bluebirds.

The Bernama news agency yesterday said the logo change had angered fans of the three-times Malaysian champions, but the club’s honorary secretary Aminuddin Omar rejected the suggestion they had their hand forced.
