The surname ‘Larsson’ was once again on a scoresheet in a Swedish match as former international striker Henrik Larsson made a comeback but this time it was his 15-year-old son Jordan who netted the goal.

“We didn’t combine a whole lot but I’m proud,” Henrik Larsson said after seeing his son score in Hogaborg’s 4-2 win over Tenhult in Sweden’s Division Two.

“It is of course a rare luxury to get to play with your son.”

Jordan has already been linked to several major European clubs, as well as Helsingborg, the club where his father made his name.

UEFA extend Anzhi home ban

Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala will again have to stage their home matches in Europe away from their own stadium next season because of security concerns.

“The UEFA emergency panel decided that, due to the security situation in Dagestan and the North Caucasus, no UEFA competition match is allowed to be played in this region during the 2013/14 season,” UEFA said.

“Consequently, Anzhi Makha-chkala have been requested to propose an alternative venue for their home matches in the 2013/14 UEFA Europa League.”

Anzhi staged their Europa League matches in Moscow last season.

Mamic indicted for ethnic hatred

Croatia’s state prosecutors have indicted Zdravko Mamic, the president of the country’s top club Dinamo Zagreb, for inciting racial hatred towards ethnic Serbs.

Mamic has been at loggerheads with sport minister Zeljko Jova-novic of the 18-month old Social Democrat-led government, who has called for an investigation of all irregularities in football.

In a talk show that shocked Croatia, Mamic told the Zagreb-based Soundset Plavi radio that Jovanovic, an ethnic Serb, “hates everything Croatian”.

“A Serb should not be in charge of one of the most important sectors in Croatia,” Mamic said.

Capello is under contract – RFU

The Russian Football Union (RFU) has stressed national team coach Fabio Capello remains under contract in response to reports linking the Italian with Paris St Germain.

A statement published on www.rfs.ru read: “In regard to the numerous media reports concerning a possible move of Russia’s national team coach Fabio Capello to PSG, the Union officially states that the coach has a contract with the RFU.

“(The contract) runs until after the final stages of the 2014 World Cup, which will be held in Brazil, and Capello is satisfied with his work as the head coach of the national team. Based on these facts, the Italian will fulfil his contract until it is completed.”

Cassano may leave Inter – Moratti

Inter president Massimo Moratti has refused to rule out sending striker Antonio Cassano to Parma as part of a swap deal for Ishak Belfodil.

Inter’s Argentinian defender Matias Silvestre has already been mooted as another possible makeweight.

Moratti told inter.it: “I’m in charge of Inter and I try to do what’s best for the club, it’s about being responsible.

“I don’t know if we’re good enough to win the league but we’ll certainly strengthen the team.

“Belfodil and (Mauro) Icardi are both great players already.

“We’ll see whether Cassano leaves. For Silvestre it would be a way for him to get regular games, but the deal is yet to be finalised.”

Hamburg reveal Santa Cruz wish

Hamburg are keen to bring in Paraguay international Roque Santa Cruz as a replacement for Son Heung-min following his move to rivals Bayer Leverkusen.

The 31-year-old is a free agent after his contract with Manchester City expired this summer.

Santa Cruz spent last season on loan at Malaga and Hamburg believe he could aid their push for a place in Europe next season.

“Roque has been made a financially very good offer and he has told us he finds Hamburg very interesting,” Oliver Kreuzer, the club’s director of sport, said.

Hamburg have now given Santa Cruz 10 days to decide whether or not to accept their offer.

Shearer: Toon mess makes me sick

Alan Shearer believes the appoint-ment of Joe Kinnear as Newcastle’s director of football has turned the club into a laughing stock.

Kinnear has given a series of free-ranging interviews which have hardly enhanced his reputation as he struggled to pronounce the names of some of his players, as well as managing director Derek Llambias who has since resigned

Shearer wrote in The Sun: “Where do we start? What I do know is that right now people are laughing at the football club I support. And that sickens me.

“I promised myself years ago never to be surprised by what happens in football.

“But this situation really is stretching it a bit.”
