Food products containing an untested level of a stimulant related to amphetamine could be on sale, the Environmental Health Directorate has warned consumers.

Supplements containing 1.3 Dimethylamylamine (DMAA), which affects the central nervous system, could pose a health risk to the heart and brain, particularly if combined with caffeine.

Two brands that have probably been imported to Malta are Jack3D produced by USP Labs of the US and Lipo-6 Black produced by Nutrex US.

Such produces may have also been bought online for personal use.
