The first phase of an innovative research project started yesterday morning as a set of rafts with flexible solar panels were carefully lowered in the sea next to Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. Led by Luciano Mule’ Stagno of the Institute for Sustainable Energy at the University of Malta, the three-year SolAqua project is worth €200,000 and funded by the Malta Council for Science and Technology.
