Air Malta flights to the UK were delayed yesterday because of an air traffic control centre fault that caused chaos for thousands of passengers.

KM 100 to Heathrow Airport and KM 116 to Gatwick, scheduled to depart yesterday morning, were delayed, as well as the Malta KM 101 and KM 117 return flights.

The technical issue affected several UK-bound services.

Air Malta said it regretted any inconvenience caused to clients due to circumstances beyond its control.
