Malta international player Daniel Bajada helped his side ASD Fiaccola claim their first win of the season when playing their second seasonal Italian Serie B1 league match last weekend.

Facing Astra Valdina away from home in Messina, Fiaccola imposed their superiority right away with Bajada narrowly beating Stefano Capri 3-2.

In his other match, the Maltese youngster suffered a 3-1 defeat against Angelo Bongiovanni.

ASD Fiaccola, who went to to win the match 5-2, are now joint third in the standings and host the Tennistavolo Brindisi team, still searching for their first win, on November 10.

Bajada forms part of the Elite Athletes Scheme funded by the Maltese Olympic Committee.
