Now that the winners of the Social Impact Awards have been chosen, ICON will begin working with Victim Support Malta for a successful implementation of its Watch Out project for safer communities. ICON has donated €10,000 worth of digital marketing services to Victim Support Malta.

The project aims to encourage community building and social engagement in Malta by addressing the two issues of crime and social disengagement through neighbourhood watch schemes. ICON will be supporting Watch Out through its initial phase, which will focus on enhancing the community’s knowledge of neighbourhood watch through specialised training.

Commenting on the initiative, Gege Gatt, director of ICON, said: “We are delighted to be working with Victim Support Malta and the Social Impact Awards team. Through our market experience, we will be helping Watch Out to be more effective in its outreach programme and thus increase community engagement. We are deeply committed to support such initiatives by providing resources, mentorship and creative solutions to solve societal issues.”

Louisa Attard, assistant director of the Inspirasia Foundation, said: “With the Social Impact Awards we hope to bring the non-profit sector closer to philanthropists and businesses, to create more opportunities for social projects. It has been great that leading businesses like ICON have supported the initiative and are able to give invaluable professional assistance that will help implement effective and efficient projects.”
