An office supplies company has filed a judicial protest against two former employees claiming they stole a laptop and then used confidential information about the company to poach customers.

Office Essentials Limited said James Veneziane and Vincienne Chircop suddenly and without a reason left their jobs on June 29. They took with them an €800 laptop containing sensitive information such as clients’ lists, pricing and suppliers’ products which, the company said, they were now using abusively.

More specifically, the company said it was informed that both Mr Veneziane and Ms Chircop were contacting its clients posing as employees of Office Essentials Limited when they were not.

A formal complaint has now been filed with the police about an €800 laptop that was taken by them and never returned.

They are holding the pair responsible for any possible damages.

Lawyer Stefano Filletti signed the protest.
