Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual is confident his side will not underestimate Pandurii in today’s Europa League Group E match in Florence.

The Italians go into the en-counter at the Artemio Franchi stadium in buoyant mood following Sunday’s come-from-behind 4-2 triumph over Juventus.

The Viola scored four goals in the space of 16 minutes to claim their first Serie A win against Juve in 15 years, with the result lifting Fio-rentina to sixth in the standings.

“We haven’t done anything yet but we certainly gave our fans and ourselves some joy,” Pasqual said.

“However, I don’t think this win will make us over-confident. This team has proved that it has maturity and that we haven’t failed many times the games that were important.

“We need to keep our concentration high. I hope I can keep my smile after Thursday evening.”

Vincenzo Montella’s side will be looking to remain perfect in Europe with victory against Pandurii.

Wins against Pacos Ferreira and at Dnipro have placed Fiorentina in control of their group. They have shown few signs of weaknesses, scoring five goals while conceding just one so far.

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella is set to make changes to the squad that beat Juventus.

Veteran midfielder Massimo Ambrosini will miss the encounter after sustaining a muscular injury against Juve that has ruled him out of action for two weeks.

Midfielder David Pizarro must serve a one-match ban while Montella is expected to rest the team’s top scorer Giuseppe Rossi. Joaquin is set to lead Fiorentina’s attack.

Pandurii clinched their first point in the group in a 1-1 draw at Pacos Ferreira last time out. The Romanians are third in the pool, five points adrift of Fiorentina.

Marian Pleasca’s men travel to Italy on the back of Sunday’s 6-1 demolition of Botosani that lifted them to fourth in the Romanian championship.

Elsewhere, Lazio will look to end their four-match winless run in all competitions today when they take on Apollon Limassol in a Group J match in Cyprus.

The Italians have not won since beating Catania 3-1 on September 25.

Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Atalanta dropped Lazio to ninth in Serie A and piled further pressure on head coach Vladimir Petkovic.

Lazio striker Brayan Perea said: “We are playing as the coach tells us to, but right now results are not going our way.

“We are going through a difficult time but I’m sure that we will overcome this with hard work.”

Lazio are level on four points with Trabzonspor at the top of the group and ahead of the Turkish outfit on goal difference.
