Fimbank will be supporting the ninth edition of the Malta Arts Festival, which will run between July 14 and August 2.

It will be packed with daily events presented by top-quality artistes from Malta, Croatia, the United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, South Africa and Russia.

Jason Zammit, the bank’s head of public and media relations, said the bank’s sponsorship reflected the importance it gave to Malta’s cultural heritage and its appreciation of the local performing arts scene.

The Malta Arts Festival 2014 will be hosted at a variety of settings, including the two main open-air venues, Fort St Elmo and Pjazza Teatru Rjal.

The festival will open on July 14 with a performance by the 2 Cellos, two Croatian cellists, Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser.

The trademark closing concert will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra playing under the baton of Mro Brian Schembri, and with Russian cellist Alexander Kniazev.
