Two Syrian men are in a critical condition, one suffering head injuries in a fight and the other sustaining serious injuries in a four-storey fall.

In the first incident, which happened at 8pm on Monday, a 31-year-old Syrian, who lives in Ħamrun, was involved in a fight in Naxxar Road, San Ġwann.

The police went on site after being informed about an argument between a group of foreigners but found no one.

Later, they were informed by the hospital that a Syrian man had been treated for head injuries, probably caused by a hard object.

The other man, who is 32 and lives in Marsa, fell while working on a residence in Parish Street, Santa Venera yesterday morning.
