Cruise passenger traffic dropped by almost 23 per cent to 171,279 between July and September, the National Statistics Office said.
There were fewer calls by cruise liners last year – 101 when compared to 113 recorded in the same period last year.
Transit passengers accounted for the vast majority of total traffic, reaching 144,148 or 84.2 per cent.
Visitors from the EU amounted to 75 per cent of total traffic – mainly coming from the British, German and Italian markets.
